Opinions are a Dangerous thing: Art StylesThis isn't about narking on anyone no, infact this is just my own muses really! You could say this is a journal for ENCOURAGEMENT! *SHINES*
I find sticking to one style restrictive if you are a beginning/moderate artist! (even professionals I might say! though I can't speak for everyone)
Having a distinctive look on how your art is done and produced is understandable and its a desire to appear unique to the point some one can just SEE your work and instantly think 'Oh! that's Ten-days!' or something along the line. However, when you are trying to find who you are and what kind of art you are to produce, I recommend trying, well, a lot of different things! Different styles, mixing styles, different colouring techinque, brushes, tools, shading. Don't feel dependant on what you are already doing and don't feel pressured by people just for trying new things!
Push out of your comfort zone. Can't draw hands? don't avoid it! draw the heck out of them! (how else are you going to learn?)

Nintendo STEALS Money!Since this has been going around lately, I should probably give my two cents. Basically what it amounts to is that Nintendo has filed Content ID info of their games with YouTube. What this means is that if you upload gameplay video of a Nintendo game, YouTube will automatically monetize that video, put ads on it, a link to where to buy the game, and take the money generated from that video and give it directly to Nintendo. People who do "let's play" videos are, naturally, pissed off because they want to be earning money off their videos, so they're calling Nintendo "thieves" for doing this.
I can see both sides to the story. I can see Nintendo as a corporation wanting to exercise control over their properties. On the other hand, "let's play" videos can often help new gamers find games they otherwise wouldn't have tried.
But here's the thing: Nintendo isn't the first company do this. Both Microsoft and Ubisoft do it already. YouTube has also had a long history of having music videos and

This rant is about the space I am renting now.

I'm at my end of my rent contract for the studio space and renewing for another 2 years and my landlord is like "oh I got this piano that needs to be put into your space" I'm like "what? I pay you for the space and if I don't put it there you just gonna gimme 1 year and then kick me out? WTF?"

So this got me really curious cuz property in Shanghai is really hot and people really don't appreciate getting stable rent from upstanding people like me. I should be telling her how people in the states rent houses and screwing home owners due to the "bad economy" Suffice to say I'm furious, my wife's furious cuz she's gotta deal with all this shit and I'm thinking its time I expand my studio to a place with a landlord much nicer.

So what I'm asking all of you guys where ever you live what the rent price for warehouse, big house or some place where I can do prop work done and basically set up shop. I just need some ideas cuz someday I will move back to the Good 'Ol US of A cuz people there appreciate getting money unlike these rich bastard apartment owners here. I've been here for like 10 years and there are times I wish I was back home doing what I'm doing even with higher material prices but at least its better quality and more variety (liquid latex for mask making doesn't exist here).

So anyway you can help: send me links to webpages that offer info to rent where you are or any suggestions to set up a work space would be awesome.

Warehouse shop kinda thing depends on what city, here in the south (maastricht) can be cheap 400 euro for a month for a decent sized shop
Normal house rent price 300 euro and it can go up to 2000 for a Mansion kinda thing
